The flavor of Vescovello is the result of a long and patient process, which begins with the manual harvesting of ripe grapes. The fermentation of the different grape varieties takes place in separate steel tanks, for a maceration period of twenty to twenty-five days. After being transferred and racked, Vescovello is left to age for twelve to eighteen months in French oak barriques and tonneaux before being bottled in the winery.
The anticipation necessary to taste this Tuscan wine is rewarded with intense flavors and aromas. An intense, yet slightly sweet and balanced red wine, perfect for pairing with red meat and aged cheese.
